I Tested The Grove Brand Best Sellers. Here's What's Worth Rebuying.

Just about everywhere you look, there is an advertisement for Grove Collaborative. I love the awareness they are bringing to the importance of using clean, eco-friendly products. Grove definitely makes going green appealing with their aesthetically pleasing products.

I decided to put the Grove Brand products to the test. I did my routine cleaning for 1 month to see how these products compared to my normal chemical cleaners...Is it worth it to switch over to green products?

ITEMS WORTH REBUYING

Room Spray Concentrate + Reusable Room Spray Bottle Set: $12.95

Stargazing

  • Smells amazing

  • Spray bottle is aesthetically pleasing and has a good spray

  • Actually gets rid of odors

  • Scent is long lasting

"Homemade" Room Spray Concentrate: $5.95

Homemade

  • Scent is so warm and inviting

100% Recycled Plastic Trash Bags - 13 Gallon: $6.95

  • I compared these to Glad ForceFlex and these held up. I had 1 bag rip (at the top by the drawstrings) on me. I put that particular bag to the test. It was extremely full. For me, it passed. I was still able to make it to the dumpster without spilling trash.

Laundry Starter Set: $24.95

Lavender & Rosemary

Just the Laundry Detergent (33 loads): $9.95

  • Scent is so nice...warm, clean, fresh. Long lasting on your clothes.

  • I compared this to the Kirkland brand detergent (which I swear by and have used for years). It did just as well. All stains & smells were removed.

Multi-Purpose Cleaner Concentrate: $6.95

Orange & Rosemary

  • Scent is very clean and fresh smelling.

  • This spray is awesome. It actually beat out the chemical multipurpose sprays. Stuck on food, grease...it took all of it right off. I used this on my countertops, glass table, stainless steel, bathrooms...everywhere. I was very impressed with this one.

ITEMS I WON'T BE REPURCHASING

Just to clarify: I really don't have anything negative to say about these products. Your really can't go wrong with any of these. However, I will not be repurchasing because I have either found a better option or don't have a use for it.

Hand Soap Glass Dispenser: $13.95

  • Visually appealing

  • My pump get stuck easily

  • Expensive.

Hydrating Hand Soap: $4.95

Free & Clear

  • The scent is what got me. Even though it is supposed to be unscented, there was a slight scent and I am not a fan.

  • I did notice my hands feeling dry after using it.

Total Clean Dishwasher Detergent Packs (20): $5.95

Free & Clear

  • Very middle of the road...They aren't the best or the worst.

Matte Cleaning Caddy: $14.95

Gray Matte

  • Visually appealing, but pretty small. I currently use this to store my dishwasher pods.

Glass Cleaner Concentrate (2): $6.95

Orange & Rosemary

  • Similar to the dishwasher pods: Not the best or the worst.

Ultimate Dish Soap: $4.95

Lemon & Eucalyptus

  • I currently and have always used Dawn. I have not been able to find another soap that compares. This is a good soap, the scent is nice, but still does not compare to Dawn.

Tub & Tile Cleaner Concentrate (2) + Glass Spray Bottle: $16.95

Lavender & Thyme

  • Of all the products, this one was my least favorite.

  • The scent is not appealing. It reminds me of a vet clinic.

  • Subpar at cleaning.

Reusable Cleaning Glass Spray Bottle: $14.95

  • Cute and visually appealing

  • The spray function is lacking.

Walnut Scrubber Sponge (2): $4.95

  • One of my least favorite sponges.

  • The scrubber side isn't the best.
